1950’s Modern Remodel

A classic example of 1950s modern design. The new owners wanted to update the house for the 21st century while preserving its original lines. The existing residence had a chopped-up floor plan, an uninsulated shell, single-pane windows and failing mechanical systems. M.O.D.E.’s remodel included gutting the entire house, removing existing walls to open up the floor plan, and adding a two-car garage, office and roof deck over the garage. The result was a highly energy-efficient, modern home that remained true to its original 1950s contemporary style.
